Original WWII German military body bag, (Leichensack). Wehrmacht body bag is in unissued condition. Made of heavy crepe paper with rubberized lining on the bottom. Total unfolded length is 74". Very rare items only found in Wehrmacht Field Hospitals (Lazarette). These items were recently released from NATO stocks stored in Bergen Norway in a bunker that actually functioned as a Lazarette during the war. These Leichensacken have been stored in NATO stocks since the end of WWII. Very rare because there were almost all used, recycled or discarded after the war. Very good to condition, may show some storage and transportation wear.
