German sandbag (Sandsack) in unissued condition. Made of heavy burlap material with all hemp string stitching - not PVC or nylon stitching as used in modern sand bags. Each measures approx. 30.5" X 15.5" and appear to be larger then US modern sized bags.  These sandbags are from the same supplier in Bergen, Norway we received our original WWII German body bags that came out of  bunker that actually functioned as a Lazarette(Field Hospital) during the war. We can't say for 100% certainty they are original WWII German issue but they are 100% heavy duty burlap and look period. Very good condition, but may show some storage and transportation wear.
