Good workmanship and materials. If they're as warm as Hessen's winter jacket, I'll be happy.

I did this order over the phone. And they still sent the wrong pants. Supposed to be ss pattern. Not army pattern. Mistakes happen. Not upset. Wrong pants on the way back.

Though the size I are huge on me, I am a size 30 waist so they it to be expected. Overall great construction and they feel like blanket lined and feel like they will be quite warm in the cold weather. Must have for cold wx events.

I've now worn these several times with the matching parka. I wore them at 15 - 20F for about 7 hours and they kept me warm and dry. They have a good splinter pattern and color as well as reinforced knees. They have the correct blanket style layer inside and NOT the slightly puffy look of the matching parka. I am not an expert on German WW2 clothing, but my only concern was the buttons. The trousers use 4 hole 16mm metal dish buttons but all the period examples of these type of trousers I have seen use the black 19mm urea buttons or (occasionally the pebbled). Two things to be aware of. Undo the inside center button of the crotch flap BEFORE you put on the pants if you plan on needing to relieve yourself later. It makes access A LOT easier when you're in the field. Secondly, the white side of the pants are a pain to clean and they will get dirty. From what I've read and seen this is the exact same problem the Germans had though so its all part of the look and experience.

WH Splinter camo rev. winter trousers |

I was wondering if these would be a "flat blanket liner" feel like the splinter parka or "puffy" like the tan and water parka and ss parka. They have the "puffy" feel. They are well made, semi-baggy in the butt like they were in WW2 photos and I am happy.
