Standard WWII German issue shelter quarter/poncho in splinter camouflage pattern in shades of tans, brown and green. This particular zelt is unusual compared to the others we have listed. The material on the lighter(spring) side appears to be made of a looser cotton drill material then the darker side which is more of the "standard" cotton drill material. Possible late war manufacture? Overall in good shape with good color and no rips or tears visible. It retains about a third of it's original buttons which all show surface rust. There are a few minor rust spots from the buttons and some tiny holes through out the material. No manufacture stamps visible. This would display well rolled up or with some work and buttons it would make a good serviceable zeltbahn.
