Description

Marksmen’s lanyards (Schützenschur) were introduced in 1936. The lanyards were issued in twelve ascending grades with grade one being the lowest and grade twelve the highest. The lanyards were awarded to qualifying Soldaten were accompanied with an award certificate. The lanyards were worn suspended from under the right shoulder strap and attached to the second top front closure button of most uniforms.
These reproductions have the second pattern shield for levels 1-4. The lanyard is made of heavy braided matte aluminum cords like the originals. The braiding is lined with a band of aluminum colored artificial silk to protect the uniform as required by regulations. These have new museum quality metal badges that are EXACTLY like the originals. These are excellent reproductions and we've learned that they are being sold as originals. Hessen Antique Exclusive!
