The mess kit was received in good condition. It looks to be used, but looks and smells as though it has been recently painted. I'm 100% OK with that.

Very nice mess tin, wasn't sure if it was going to come with the inner parts, and it does not. No worries, I don't mind, but you might want to put that in the description so others may know. The one I received was in excellent condition and I love it! It will go well with my photo shoots. I could see this being good for the field and re-enactments. Condition is excellent and as a matter of fact, I will have to bang it up some and put a fire under it to make it look used. I love that it comes in a like new paint job so that it will wear with use, just like the originals. Great product and the strap is excellent quality as well. I would buy from again!

It looks great. I was surprised with the paint color on the kit, as it is darker than another one that I own. But then again during the war different companies produced the mess kit, so that works for me.
