All around, this is a pretty good repro for the money. The leather could be a bit heavier -- it's serviceable, but definitely thinner than the strapson an original that I have.

Good Basis for a Reprop Canteen |

Overall this is an excellent way to begin putting together a repro canteen. The only real issues I had with the canteen are the strap and the stitching. The strap is a very soft black died leather of a type I have never encountered on originals. The stitiching material on the straps is also of a material that does not seem to mimic originals. However, with a solid replacement strap you have a very good canteen.
