With very little work |

This jacket is a gem for an ENLISTED LW reenactor, sorry officers this beauty is simply not for you. The buttons are horrendous but save them and replace them with original buttons and wow does the look change! The strange thing is that the jacket looks DARKER with the painted buttons, once removed the optical illusion is gone and the jacket is correct for LW. Warning the lapels are pressed incorrectly and do have to be redone. The good news is this is an easy fix, just wet them down and fold them on the correct line and press with a steam iron on the low end of the wool seeting. While you are at it press the jacket out, and you will be ready to attach your insignia.

A high quality garment |

I bought this jacket for everyday wear. The material and construction are excellent. I usually take a 38, but previous experience with Hessen tunics running small to size caused me to purchase a 40, especially since I want to use this jacket over layers of clothing during winter.

This is a very well made tunic, and I like both the weight and the colour of the fabric. The price too is exceptionally good for something of this quality. Excellent value all 'round.
