Boots too light |

I wore these to an event and was told they were much too light and had nylon pulls with a seam missing in the sides and they would fall apart in the field conditions. My pair also was more a suede greenish color too not at all like the boots my fellow reinactors wore.

Good Boots |

The WW1 German marching boots offered by Hessen Antique are good boots! I recommend them. Measure your foot carefully! The leather soles and hobnails are perfect, except the originals had wood pegs... The tops are plenty wide for your calf. I am replacing the nylon pull tabs with cotton. The toe shape is spot-on! A good dose of Neatsfoot Oil and you're ready for the trenches.
