Very Nice Quality |

I was quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of these boots. The leather is thick and sturdy, and they look like they will wear well. Comments have been made by others about their sizing. It seems that they may not have correctly converted from European to U.S. sizes. I ordered a "size 12" which is about 1.5 sizes bigger than I usually wear, but they're marked European "size 45" which is what I wear when I buy shoes from Europe - and these boots fit perfectly. It might be helpful if Hessian listed both U.S. and European size for these.

The inner lace-flap isn't leather, but the boot is. It's difficult to get on (have to fully unlace it), but looks great. The included laces are not useful -- fragile, rough strips of the same leather -- so buy some nice laces elsewhere at the same time so that you can wear these when they arrive.

German jump boots are well made but a little tight order one size larger and I had to use saddle soap and foot powder to get foot in. If you ware them for a few days the leather will starch.
