The Close Combat Clasp in Silver (Nahkampfspange) was initiated in 1942 recognizing Soldiers who engaged in hand-to-hand combat when unsupported by armor.  The Silver Clasp was awarded for 30 consecutive days of close combat.  These clasps are the finest quality, die struck pieces featuring superb detail, original quality flat pins and maker's marks.
