Original WWII Italian Bersaglieri (Light Infantry) ammunition pouches for the Carcano series of rifles. Less common then the standard infantry issue grey-green leather 1907 pouches these particular pouches differ in design by the lack of the metal loop on the rear of the pouch which would usually accept the neck strap and hooks. Because the Bersaglieri considered themselves  "Elite" light infantry they typically wore a lighter combat rig then their regular "leg infantry" counterparts and found the neck strap too restrictive. The leather is in good condition but show storage age and some slight surface rust on the metal hardware but they clean up nicely and are very serviceable.
